Life After Child Abuse

Do you recall the poem called what are little girls made of?  Sugar, spice, and everything nice that is what little girls are made out of.  Somehow, low self-esteem comes in with insecurity on his arm.  As she gazes into the mirror, she asks mirror, mirror on the wall who is the prettiest one of all.  Is it I?  Then she goes to mommy, and she asks, Mommy, do you think I am pretty?  Moreover, you reply, yes honey you are very pretty.  Still feeling insecure she goes to her daddy and asks, Daddy do you think I am pretty?  Her Daddy responds to her in his very cheerful voice, yes honey of course you are, you are very pretty.  You are Daddy’s little angel.

Little girls need to be encouraged and told often how pretty they are, how much they are loved, and how sweet and precious they are in order to have a positive self-image of themselves.  They need positive encouragement and influences in their childhood lives.  Children believe what you tell them!

She needs to read, and be read to from God's word, and hear scriptural truth about how God views her.  She is fearfully and wonderfully made!  She is made in God’s image!  She is blessed and highly favored!  God chose her!  God accepts her!  God loves, adores and cherishes her!  She needs to learn how to look into God's mirror, His word!

However, What if she does not get this from her parents?  What if she has been abused sexually, mentally, and physically?  How then will she view herself, when the unimaginable has taken place in her little life?  When her little world is violently shaken?  When she has been robbed of everything?  What then?  What if she is not ever hugged, and cuddled, and loved in a healthy and wholesome way?

How then will she see herself?  She will take on Satan’s lies!  She may see herself as; invaluable, a loser, not lovable, insecure, fearful, feeling worthless, hated and undeserving of any good thing happening in her life, rejected and abandoned.  Hating even her own self.  How horribly sad!

However, this is a reality for many that will ultimately follow them into adulthood.  Satan wants to maim them for life.  Remember, he comes to kill, steal, and destroy.  Satan has destroyed every chance of her having a healthy self-image, and robs her of healthy, wholesome relationships.

However, God is the life giver!  He makes the crooked paths straight.  Where there is fear, rejection, and abandonment, God will love you back to life.  In the book of Isaiah, God declares, He will bind up the wounds of the broken hearted.  He will heal the sick, cause the lame to walk, and release those in prison.  He will give you the oil of joy for mourning.  He will give you a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.  For your shame, He will give you double.  For confusion, you will rejoice in your portion, you will possess double and have everlasting joy.  (Isaiah 61)

The Lord declares, that He knows the plans He has for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope!  (Jeremiah 29)  God will shower you with His love.  He will overtake you with His blessings.  He will restore to you everything the locust has devoured in your life.  Put your hope in God and God alone.  He will bless you and cause you to be a blessing.  Your mess will become your message!

I should know, He did it for me!  He gave me beauty for ashes, and He is making my dreams come true. I had a bomb dropped into my life during my childhood. (Sexual Abuse)  But God took me from the wreckage, and He has been blessing me, healing me, and restoring my life, ever since I gave my life to Christ almost thirteen years ago in 1997.

God is still doing a work in my life; I was in a horrible pit!  Like Joseph in the bible, he was thrown into a pit, got out and went from the pit to prison and then to the palace, where God used him to be a blessing to others.  Therefore, shall my God use you and me to bless others.  There is no greater love than the love of God!  There is none who is like the Lord, none!  Thank you Jesus thank you!

IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW HAS BEEN SEXULLY ABUSED DURING CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESENT YEARS PLEASE, PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH HER.  GOD WANTS TO HEAL AND RESTORE HER LFE.  HE LOVES HER WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE.  EVEN MORESO SHARE CHRIST THE LORD WITH HER, HE WANTS TO SAVE HER!  SHE NEEDS HIM.  HER LIFE DEPENDS ON HIM!!!

 GOD BLESS
